What is ecstasy?
Ecstasy comes in the form of attractant tablets (often colored, with a smiley face or other designs) or capsule. It is taken by mouth and its effects last about 3 to 6 hours after taking it. Consumers seek in ecstasy a feeling of increased pleasure, a strong feeling of tolerance towards others but also tenfold tactile experiences. Ecstasy also makes you feel energized and can cause hallucinations and visual field distortions. The main component of ecstasy is methylenedioxymethamphetamine or MDMA, each tablet contains 60 to 120 milligrams.
